Part 1 – Elevate Your Story
Danny will go through what “elevated” actually means, different ways to achieve this in your script and story, and how to identify if your project IS elevated. We’ll examine popular Hollywood films and what makes them elevated; different exercises to create more compelling and castable characters; steps to creating dynamic set piece scenes; identifying and exploiting your hook; different story devices to elevate your plot, stakes and conflict; and how to make your dialogue and voice pop on the page. Plus, how to make sure your Logline reads as high concept and sellable. And much more.

Part 2 – Elevate Your Career
Building and maintaining a career is about much more than just writing a great script – it’s about possessing a comprehensive understanding of the space in which you’re trying to emerge, and creating the right short term and long-term strategies and relationships in order to succeed.

Lee will take you through everything you need to know in order to make sure you’re creating the right elevated brand in your writing to attract meaningful attention and representation, ways to elevate your network and make sure you’re writing the right type of project and concept, current trends, how to build a screenwriting career that lasts, and actionable, consistent next steps to ensure consistent forward motion and the creation of critical momentum.

Part 3 – Elevate Your Pitch

Lee and Danny will come together to show you how best to elevate your pitches for film, TV and representation. They’ll go through different pitching techniques to make sure you’re highlighting the best of you and your project. And then they will take and critique your pitches LIVE!
